Some G&E and Liam

Birthday

My 35th birthday was awesome. Kevin took me to a nice dinner at Oceanaire. When I got home I had a birthday cake waiting for me made by Liam and Grand. Last year, we got a group of people together and went to Kings Island and it was so much fun. Fall is the best time to go. This year we did it again, but with a smaller group. The weather was cold, but it was still fun.

The last picture was taken after being at Kings Island for many hours. We were waiting for the rest of our group to ride one last ride.

Stonycreek

Every year since Liam has been born we have gone to StonyCreek Farms in Noblesville. This year John Soderberg joined in the family fun.

Swimming

Liam started swim lessons in September. He loves it. He splashes, puts his face in the water, and jumps into the pool. He is going to be in these lesson throughout the winter. I want him to be super comfortable around water. The twins haven't started their lesson yet. I have been working at the office three days a week and haven't had an opportunity to get them signed up. It's a little harder with them since I have to actually swim with them, and I also need a helper.

Sunset

Father's Day we decided to take a trip to St. Petersburg, Florida! The twins, in my opinion, are still to young to enjoy a beach trip so they stayed back with Grand. I was really nervous leaving them behind but I knew that we needed a beach vacation and Liam really needed some one on one mom and dad time. Liam has been on a airplane before, granted he was only 7 months old and had no memory of it, so this flight was a new experience for him. He was so excited! He had the window seat and he just kept saying "MOM! Look at the little houses!" I was worried that when we got to Florida that the weather might be bad. I was constantly checking the week before and they had nothing but rain. We were in luck! The sun was shining and it was 84 degrees when we landed in Tampa. The excitement from the plane ride must have exhausted Liam because as soon the rental car started, he was passed out.
We stayed at the Tradewinds Hotel on St. Pete beach. It was awesome. We only had 2 and a half days  so we started as soon as we reached our room. First stop, the beach. As soon as Liam saw the ocean he started running. I mean this kid took off. He loved it! Kevin and I would take turns being his water taxi. He wasn't afraid of the water. He wanted to keep going further and further out. Next stop was the pool. Liam saw all these kids jumping in from the ledge and wanted to try. He was jumping like a wild man with no fear, until he jumped in and went completely under water. After that he was done with swimming for the rest of the day.

The next day we started with a nice breakfast at the hotel and a quick trip to CVS for some beach stuff.  Kevin was determined to take a boat ride. There was a boat leaving at 1pm for shell island. We decided to go. It was awesome. We rented some snorkel gear and took turns looking for sand dollars. We found a ton. Unfortunately they are super fragile and only 4 survived the plane ride home. Liam had so much fun searching for shells and looking for dolphins.

This trip went by super fast. I would like to go back as soon as possible. Next time I'm taking the twins and just renting a house.

Merry Christmas

Gavin and Elliott's first Christmas was awesome. We had everyone over in the morning to our house. There were so many presents that it took up an entire wall! John Soderberg joined us for the family festivities. It was so much fun. In the evening we went over to Uncle Nick's house for even more presents! This year was really fun because Liam really got into it. He was excited to see that Santa had come.
