Pumpkin Patch

So the weather has been super weird. It is super cold for early October. Saturday was the first sunny day we've seen in a couple of days and we weren't going to waste it. I decided that Liam needed a pumpkin and Kevin agreed. We headed out the the legendary pumpkin patch Stoney Creek in Noblesville. I say that it is legendary because I went to this very pumpkin patch as a little kid. The drive to Noblesville was so nice. I was so busy enjoying the trees that I didn't notice the long distance. It was so much fun being there. I wish I had brought my nicer camera but the Iphone did a pretty good job.A friendly family offered to take our picture as long as I would repay the favor. I showed the guy how to work the camera on my phone and he took the picture. I should have checked it. He didn't take a picture. I'm not sure what he did. Oh well. I, of course, took an awesome picture of him and his family. Liam got to go on a hayride which he tried to eat hay and he picked out his very own pumpkin. Kevin decided that we need three to represent the family.
After the exciting hayride and pumpkin picking we needed some warm apple cider. I don't know why but I hate the taste of this stuff. I ordered myself one to give it a chance but I still hate it.

Birthday weekend

On Friday Lauren was in town getting things prepared for the craft fair at her mom's house. Liam and I decided to head over and offer moral support and lunch. After hanging out for awhile Liam and I headed home. We needed to get ready for our dinner out with the Engledow crew. My dad decided that he wanted us to have dinner and he chose Papa Joe's junior in Avon. It was nice to see everyone. Maddie now lives in Alabama and I hadn't seen her in months. Liam was a little overwhelmed with all the attention I was overwhelmed trying to eat and make sure Liam was doing okay.

Saturday morning Kevin need to run some last minute errands for my birthday so he headed out bright and early. I knew what these errands were but I wanted to act surprised. When he got home he had my awesome birthday cake from Classic Cakes and a new hand bag from anthropologie. He also sent me pretty purple flowers the day before. Liam got me amethyst earrings. Amethyst is Liam's birthstone so it was the perfect gift. After opening all my presents we headed out the craft fair.

The craft fair was super busy and had lots to look at. First, we headed over to visit the Yoho Bakery. After hanging with my ladies we decided to check out the other cool stuff. Kevin bought me a fabric crane and I won alphabet magnets in the raffle. We met Stacy and the Theodore's there and Amber and I exchanged birthday presents. I was super excited because she gave me one of her handmade bags. I got tons of handmade things for my birthday this year which I love. Lauren gave me a painting, and Stacy made me earrings. I am very lucky to have such talented friends.

After the craft fair we decided to head to Bazbeaux Pizza downtown for lunch. Stacy and Timmy joined us and I was served a yummy piece of cheese cake for my birthday. It was awesome. Since we had been out for awhile we decided that we needed to head home and rest before my birthday dinner.

Kevin was trying to be sneaky about my birthday dinner, but I have a way of reading his mind. He is constantly telling me to get out of his head. I try but can't. My surprise dinner was at Brugge and Amber and Mikey were waiting there for us. I knew amber and mike were eating with us. I could figure this out easy because Mike wouldn't tell Amber where he was taking her. I was so happy that they were there so we could toast to both our birthdays. After dinner I text the crew and we all met at Moe and Johnny's . It was a fun night and I was sad to see it end. Kevin did a great job with planning ahead.

Sunday Mikey and the girls came over to watch the Colts game. This was also the day that Liam learned how to climb in his crib. I'm so happy that we had lowered his mattress just hours before. He could have easily tumbled out. It is crazy how fast he is growing and learning. In just a month he started crawling and now standing. It is true that they grow up super fast.
