Liam is 2years old!

I can't believe that my little baby is now 2! Time does fly. We decided to do a Thomas themed party since that is all Liam talks about. Being 7months pregnant with twins and trying to get a house ready for over 30 people is not a fun task. I think that my body is giving up on this pregnancy. Anyway, we had an awesome time! Liam had a bunch of his buddies over and they all seemed to really enjoy themselves. The amount of new toys is overwhelming. Liam doesn't know what to play with first. With every present he wanted Kevin or I to get it out of the box ASAP! I decided that as soon as something was opened it needed to be hidden. I'm going to try to keep some stuff hidden until a later date.

Winter

So, I'm lazy when it comes to blogging lately. I've been super busy! Lets see, Liam started preschool on January 10th, which was also Toole Family Dentistry's first patient day! Of course, I cried, but Liam was fine. That Friday was his second day, and I decided that from now on Kevin should drop him off. I get way to emotional. This drop off didn't go so smoothly. Liam cried and held onto Kevin. Good thing it wasn't me. I would have taken him to work. Kevin, on the other hand, can think with a rational head and knows that once he left Liam would be fine, which he was. Now when Kevin drops him off Liam doesn't cry. He seems to really like school, and the teachers always say that Liam is doing great. He is the youngest in his class, but is keeping up really well.

Liam has had explosion of speech. He talks all the time now. I don't know if it is daycare or just almost being 2. He can sing many songs, and is counting. I do think that daycare is good for him, but he already has gotten sick and had to miss school. I went in last Friday to pick him up, and every kid in there had a runny nose and the teacher was just getting over being sick. As I type this Liam is now hacking away again. Great, I just got him healthy. I had to take him to the doctor two weeks ago and found out that he had his first ear infection. This was the first time that he every has been on any medicine other that Tylenol.

The twins are growing like crazy. My last ultrasound, which was 2 weeks ago, the babies were measuring at 1.6lbs and 1.5lbs and they were the length of an eggplant. They have been kicking me like crazy. I don't think I've had a full night sleep in months and I know it's only going to get harder. Yesterday I went to the doctor and I'm measuring at 33 weeks at 26 weeks, which is normal for twins. I'm really scared on how big I'm going to eventually get. My doctor keeps assuring me that I look great. Whatever. I don't feel great. Kevin has a fear that I'm going to be put on bed rest. I'm doing my best not to get stressed out, but when you have a 2 year old and a new business that is impossible. My blood pressure is high and I'm starting to swell just a little. I'm trying to take it easy and not be on my feet so much. The days that I don't work Liam and I are basically stuck in the house. With all the ice outside it is dangerous for me to try to carry Liam and keep my balance with this huge tummy. I'm so ready for spring.

Liam is starting to embark on his terrible twos. I feel like I'm always putting him in time out, or trying to console a tantrum. He also has decided that he always wants to color, but doesn't understand that crayons aren't for eating but for writing.

The office is doing fantastic. We already have 60 patients and only been open for 3 weeks. I hope this keeps up. Kevin is a great dentist. It's really neat to finally get to see him in action. I also am starting to understand dentistry. I always was grossed out by peoples mouths, but now it doesn't bother me. I love interacting with the patients. Something that I have missed being a stay at home mom.
