Sunday

Sunday morning we woke up and decided to go to breakfast at Zest. I wanted my dad to see the new car so we picked him up on the way. After the yummy breakfast and dropping my dad off we decided to go to Target. I wanted to look at the selection of car seats and we needed a baby mirror for the new car. After wandering the aisles of Target for a hour we left with some new fun toys for Liam and some baby food to try out.
When we got home we decided to feed Liam some pears. He was not into this at all. I think that tartness and texture are to much for him. After a few bites he gave up. I then tried to put him down for his afternoon nap, but he wasn't having it. He seemed to excited about the new toys. So instead of taking a much needed nap he played with is new blow up penguin that giggles.
As soon as we got home from our busy morning it was time to go out again! This time to the State Fair. Lauren and Wyatt were in town and wanted to go with us. We all loaded up in the new car and off we went. All I could think about was what am going to eat. First was the spiral potatoes with season salt. Then it was fried green tomatoes. (I'm starting to drool as it type this.) Kevin was dead set on having a fried snickers. The line was super long but worth it. He got 2 fried oreo cookies, 1 fried peanut butter cup, and a fried snickers. Yummy. Kevin and I then shared an italian sausage with onions and peppers. So good.

We were told by someone that since it was the last day of the fair that the livestock would all be gone. This was not true! I was so happy to see tiny little piglets. The worlds largest pig was gone which was a little disappointing, but oh well. I was hoping that Liam would take a nice long nap as we strolled along the midway but this wasn't happening. The sights and sounds were all to interesting for him and he stayed wide awake.

After spending a good 3 hours at the Fair we headed home. By the end of the night Liam was so fussy and tired. He was so over stimulated. I started to feel like a bad mom for not making him take a nap. Lesson learned. By 9:30 Kevin looked at me and asked "where did the weekend go?" We were so busy that he didn't really get anytime to relax. Monday always comes to soon.
