Liam the Poo Poo Picaso
Yesterday was a super busy day. I had to do drive to Carmel for a doctor appointment, and Uncle Nick was coming over to watch Liam. Nick seems to always get it easy with Liam. The entire time I was gone he just sat in Nick's lap and watched Yo Gabba Gabba. I'm glad that he was good for him. Lately, he has become a little terror. He never wants to take naps and he constantly is throwing tantrums. So far this week he has been pretty good. I think the 2 teeth that have been causing him pain have finally emerged to the surface. When I got home from Carmel Nick left and I got lunch ready. After forcing my son to eat I decided that it was time for a nap. I changed his diaper and I didn't put pants back on him. He seemed to go down super easy. I have a video monitor so I was keeping an eye on him. I can only see if he is sitting up or standing because the monitor camera is across the room. I noticed that he was sitting quietly but I couldn't tell what he was doing. I didn't want to bother him because he was being good. He finally fell over and went to sleep. I decided that I was going to take advantage and get a nap in myself. I checked on Liam before laying down. The first thing I noticed was the awful smell. This isn't uncommon because Liam has a habit of pooping in his sleep. The second thing i noticed was a little bare butt. UH-OH. As a looked into the crib I saw a peaceful, sound asleep Liam surrounded by a massive smear of poop. When I thought that he was just sitting quietly in his crib doing nothing he was actually creating an art piece with his poop. He decided to use his feet rather than his hands. He must of enjoyed the squish that each turd made under his little feet. My reaction was to grab him and check his mouth. Thank God he didn't decided to taste his masterpiece. I felt bad because he was sound asleep but I had to get him out of the poop nest. I set Liam on the floor with his little turdy feet causing smears all over the hardwoods. I started a bath and threw him into the tub. It took me 15 minutes of scrubbing Liam's toes and then scrubbing the crib before I could try to get him back to sleep. I was so grossed out. I have now learned my lesson to never put him into bed without pants on.
