New Years Eve was a busy day. Kevin went to Toole Family Dentistry to work on some plumbing and to work out the window coverings. Liam and I decided that we would hang out around the house and wait for Kevin to get home. I decided that the dogs smelled bad so they both needed baths. After, I did all my laundry and scrubbed my tub. I know that this is some exciting stuff to read about, but let me tell you, being pregnant and having a toddler and getting anything done is no small feat.
Kevin and I had made plans to go to dinner at Brugge in Broad Ripple. I wasn't super excited about going out but really wanted some yummy fries. After dinner I was so tired all I wanted to do was go home. It was only 7pm. Kevin had me stop by Kahn's so he could get some holiday cheer (alcohol). I decided that I wanted to go in with him and see if I would get any crazy looks. Being pregnant in a liquor store is always fun, almost as fun as being pregnant and in a bar.
After the Kahn's stop I decided that I deserved a shake since I couldn't have any liquor so we stopped at Steak n' Shake.
When we got home Liam was still awake, but cuddled on the couch with grandma. As soon as he saw my shake he wanted a "bite". I let him have a sip and the next thing I know he is taking off with it. The kid loves sweet stuff.
By 9pm Kevin and I were ready for bed. We decided that we would put in a movie. I was asleep before it began. I did wake up for midnight because someone in my neighborhood decided to shoot off their gun. Nothing like waking up to gun fire. I was so out of it but I noticed that are backyard kept lighting up. I finally figured out that it was storming. My first thought was someone is lighting fireworks off in my yard.
I did get out of bed to give a sleeping Liam a kiss. 2011 is going to be the busiest year ever. I'm ready for it, I think. :)
